Regional groups

There are several regional professional networks for co-ordinators of governor services

The regional networks

These are the prime focus for the development of services and a key conduit for information between government policy makers and those identifying and responding to needs in the field.

The regions cover:

  • North East
  • North West
  • Yorkshire and Humberside
  • East
  • West Midlands
  • London
  • South East
  • South West.

Role of the regional groups

  • They are self-sustaining organisations, with their own communication and funding arrangements

  • They provide an opportunity for the coherent sharing of information, and the dissemination of good practice

  • They share a commitment to continuous improvement of the service and, to this end, support the professional development of those providing services.
